An Evening With Joe Satriani

Just bought three tickets to go to Joe Satriani live at the Lincoln Theatre in Raleigh, NC. Pretty stoked! Never seen Sat on a solo set, only on G3. It is gonna be awesome since he just realeased Is There Love In Space. MAN THIS IS AWESOME!

I know what you mean...I'll be seeing him in Jacksonville, FL in a couple of weeks...I just ordered a Satriani t-shirt off the Fanfire site, which I received last Friday with no problems...don't know whether I'll wear it or not

Enjoy the concert

I've been to two Evening With shows.... they're great! Just don't be afraid to wimp out and bring ear plugs.

I am ordering my tickets for that show this at the end of this week. I guess you were at the Winston-Salem G3 also? That was a good show. Vai was the one who was on that night.

Yeah i was at the salem show. The venue was horrible. (Not a good first time for me) Some of Yngwie's feedback was irritating and there was a big stone column in the from on the stage. It was still a great show thought. Vai's drummer blew me away. He had great energy and really made it worth while.

If they have js hoodies at the concert i am mos def buying one of those. Been looking for ages!

yeah, the venue was pretty crappy. There were a couple of those columns in the place. Also, since the floor was perfectly level it was really hard to see the stage through everybody's heads. Hard to see what was going on. Still, they guys were having a good night back then. The one thing that really bothered me was the volume. Why do they need that much volume for such a small room? I had earplugs in and I still had ringing for two days. That was just a little crazy.

I was wondering the same thing.(Malmsteen especially) I dunno if he gets his rocks off by making the guitar feedback at ear piercing volume but that wasn't one of the cooler parts of the show. I am hoping that the Lincoln Theatre is a sit down place. Any ideas?
