Black Dog - Location

I was on the JS site and noticed the picture of thr Blackdog in the Hard Rock Cafe. This ain't the original.

You can see the knob layout is a normal JS.

Just thought I'd point that out.

So question: Does Joe still own it?

Joe still owns it. It was stolen in 91 or 2 and recovered a few months later. Needless to say it never goes out of the house anymore.

The best thing to do to a black JS1 that has a few dings.

I always wanted a black one to do that...Eventually. I couldn't do it to a new one not straight away anyway.

I keep wanting to get a few coloured pens and donnie'up my white 540

I've got silver and gold marker pens. So there are more colours.

I think I wouldn't have the guts to take paint markers to my guitars, unless I practice a lot on paper first to find a design... I wouldn't want to end up with an ugly design that looks like a 3 year old had fun with my guitar and some markers......

I thought Joe use to wipe it off and start all over again when ever he felt like it with the paint markers as they rubbed off of the finish so easily?

Wasn't that the case on Blackdog Rich?

It wears off pretty fast. He'd do it over as soon as it was worn through bad enough.
