Question

Burnt transparent blue sound?

I was just wondering how the fact that the body of the JS1000BTB is slightly burnt, affects the sound of the guitar? It's gotta have some effect?

Myst

Re: Burnt transparent blue sound?

I don't think it's really burnt, those are just some graphics on it.

Re: Burnt transparent blue sound?

It is burnt, just like the JEM7BSB, but the BTB has a clear-coat over the stain.

No idea what the affects on the sound are, as I've only tried one unplugged.

Re: Burnt transparent blue sound?

Wouldn't have thought it would do very much as it is the body of the wood that would affect the timber/tone. Surely the burns are surface only. I only have a BTB and have nothing to compare it to JS-wise but it sure sounds good.

I'm pretty sure it doesn't effect the overall sound that much.

Re: Burnt transparent blue sound?

If it does, which I don't believe it possibly could. It would be an insignificant amount. Maybe like putting a sticker on your guitar or something.

Re: Burnt transparent blue sound?

So....if you put a sticker on a BTB, then it would be even more different

Re: Burnt transparent blue sound?

Maybe EJ could hear the difference?

Andy, maybe we should put a sticker on you, saying 'I'm different!'

Wonder how that would affect your tone?

I havn't heard that on ryanb! Heard about him claiming to hear the difference in tone from different brands of batteries in his stomp boxes, though.
