Bye-Bye JS1000WH

This is not good. I was just at Rich Harris' site and while checking out the NAMM 2003 info I noticed the JS1000WH is history Then I go a little further to see a white JS100 Not sure what the strategy is on this one from Ibanez. Upside is they got rid of the Low TRS-II finally. Any other comments are welcome on this thread.

Apparently, the BP was selling better and maybe the 100WH was/is selling better than the 1000WH. I'm sure new 1000WH's will be floating around in stores and online for a little while ;-)

There was no 100WH until this year. The JS100 colour options have been TR and BK. They replaced the BK with the WH.

I think it's really cool that they've put a good bridge on the 100. It's still a bit expensive for a Korean-made bolt-on, but you could get it nickel plated and drop in some new pickups and have a pretty nice guitar.

Per the various other threads on this subject, the JS100 is now equipped with the new Edge Pro II as seen here:

That new bridge looks pretty flashy. I wonder if it is better than the lo pro edge.....that "tremsetter" is a nice thing to have in the event of string breakage.
Apparantly you can't swap the new edge with previous edges.

Anyone who has a guitar with this new bridge, please share your thoughts and comments with us!!!

the WH was probably my favorite colored JS available stateside... Always reminded me of the Crystal Planet album, somehow.

I find it VERY curious for ibanez to be doing this, especially since Satch has been gigging with a WH since Pearly got stolen...

The JS's don't have the tremsetter in them. Those are only on the ZR equipped models.

It's not really a tremsetter but works on the same principle, just backwards

The WH is a pretty slow sell. For some reason the BP sells much better, even though WH is my favorite of the two [which doesn't say much, I hate BP and I dislike the cosmo hardware on WH]

me too, i hate the cosmo chrome hardware. Why can't they just put the straight chrome on both models......i bet they would sell more of each model if they did that.
I see ppl trying to sell their cosmo hardware a lot.

Hey at least Ibanez got rid of that annoying inlay at the 21st fret
