Calling all JS90th owners!

I feel embarrased that a customer brought this to my attention and I had never noticed myself

I was asked which bridge a JS90 should have, my first reaction was , Lo Pro. But I wasn't positive so checked the spec sheet, which says Edge. Checked the couple online pics I still have up on the used sold page, both Edges. Ok, Edge was my answer.

"Then why does mine have a Lo Pro?"

I checked the only other pic I have which is in the gallery, that guitar I originally bought NOS from a dealer, it's got a Lo Pro. It seems the 90th was made with the Edge, which is it's factory spec, and the Lo Pro, which is not. So the question, huh??

Please post your JS90 plate #'s and serial #'s, both please, and then add which bridge you have, and what country the guitar was bought from. If you're not the original owner state so, but still tell which country it came from. Just going to sort out if they started with the Edge and then switched to Lo Pros at some point, or if there's some other explanation for it

F98***** Serial #

Original/not original owner.

Thanks!

Mine did have a LoPro. I sold it to Julio here on the site about a year or so ago. I'll see if I can dig up the numbers, etc. on it. I was the 2nd owner

Because i'd rather speculate on this than keep reading Nietzsche's "Zarathustra" (fascinating book, incidentally), i'll waste all your time with my observations.

There isn't a single european 90th with a lo-pro listed currently, and stateside we're split 1-1 with lopro/edge. possible pattern #1? that the european ones all came with the edge, and the american ones were spec'd with both?

Or, maybe more feasable (and possibly not mutually exclusive, as distrobution and production order could be linked), there is a possibility that at or around 004500 they switched from the lo-pro bridge to the edge bridge. Realizing i'm asking for something approaching a miracle here, does anyone know the full range of serial #'s for the 90th? my personal hunch would be maybe the first 50 or so were inadvertantly spec's with a lo-pro before someone caught the problem, and then every guitar above that serial # (which would fall between 004494 and 004500) was spec'd correctly. Maybe they were too lazy to make the switch, or maybe they didn't notice until they'd already shipped. it's not like they don't have a history of this- there was that problem with the JEM90th "anniversary" case misspelling...

all in all, a rough year for hoshino?

I think that was actually the Jem10th case with the misspell?

We now return to the regularly scheduled thread.

Actually it only helps if you can tell positively which trem it is

For anybody else that's not sure

iain- yeah, it was. But the point still stands- it wouldn't be the first mistake they've made on a high-end sig model...
