Changing strings from 9s to 10s.

I want to move one size up as I like my 10s so do I need to add another trem spring to do this? What else would be involved besides the obvious neck adjusments?

it's recommended to use 4 springs with a 10 - gauge
on an edge trem at least... to my knowledge... but should be the same with lopro

and hey! i know that though i don't even use trems

rich would say you'd be better with 3 springs and thinned knives

I only say that to those that want to use 4 springs to try and cure tuning problems.

I almost always use 4 springs w/ 10's. You can use 3 and put the outer 2 in arrow formation, or you can use 3 short 47mm springs straight, or even just 2 in arrow. All depends on what "feel" you want

I only use 2 fingers, but the right hand does NOT like bouncing off the keyboard all day

Ok before I get started just one more thing. Will putting the 2 outer springs at an angle towards the middle spring be sufficient to hold the trem flat with the 10s or would I have to get an additional spring?

Depends on how strong or new your springs are. Try it and if it doesn't work throw in another spring.

Yeah that is always the best, trial and error. So where is the best place to get a spring because I know my dealer here doesn`t have any for Ibanez, just Fender springs?

Buy 4 Fenders, they're cheap enough.
