Chrome pickups on Js2 prm

Does anyone know if the Js2prm pickups have removable chrome covers on them? or is the top of the pickup painted in chrome?

I believe it is the pickup top. You can order those chrome pickups from DiMarzio now.

They are caps but I don't think they're removeable, not cleanly anyway. They are much more durable than the old plastichrome bobbins but they are still not indestructible like real chrome. I hazed a bobbin trying to wipe off what ended up being an imperfection in the chrome.

Do they just snap on, or is there some adhesive to hold them in place?? And what is the best way to get them off?

It was a JS2, obviously I wasn't toying around with it. Only Dimarzio can answer your questions.

Apparently "hazed a bobbin" has some special meaning in the UK that we're not getting here in the US?
