When the guys were preparing to make This Is Spinal Tap, they did apparently play a lot of club gigs around Los Angeles to get their chops up. They can actually play. This Is Spinal Tap has got to be one of my favourite all-time comedies.

All three main actors (Christopher Guest, Michael McKean, Harry Shearer) all have quite distinguished résumés.

In addition, the movie has some absolutely hilarious cameos from several actors who were either big names or up-and-comers... Billy Crystal, Fran Drescher, Dana Carvey, Howard Hesseman, Paul Shaffer ("I want you to kick my ass"), Angelica Huston.

Gilbertrules: If you haven't seen This Is Spinal Tap, go out and rent it. You WILL NOT be disappointed.

This Is Spinal Tap has become one of my all time favorite movies. If ou haven't seen it, GO!

I've got the DVD and it's fantastic, there's so much additional footage that never made the film.. they cobbled it all together and it's like a mini film all in itself! The chauffer gets high and starts singing sinatra in his underwear

Also, just like on the website, it opens up with them talking about the black screen.. classic..

If you're a guitarist, bassist or drummer, or just generally in a band, and even if you're not.. you HAVE to see This is Spinal Tap at least once..
