Dropping in Edge in a JS routed for a LO pro.
will it work? or will it need routing for the EDGE?

Re: Dropping in Edge in a JS routed for a LO pro.
I am no expert, but if memory serves me right, they are more or less interchangeable. That is to say that the routs are not identical but are close enough that you shouldn't have any problems.
I'd get an expert opinion though. It has been several years since I have owned a floating
trem guitar
and a lot of the Ibanez specific knowledge I used to have has faded away.

Original Edge and Lo-Pro Edge are swappable without any routing required.

Usually, but not always. Not all Lo Pro routes have enough room at the back for the
string lock
screws on the Edge.

Are the posts the same?
In my thread, some people were making it sound like there might be different spacing. Then again, I could have misunderstood...

The posts are the same. The rout is similar because the tail of the lo-pro is actually longer than that of the edge's or they're equally just as long.

Re: Dropping in Edge in a JS routed for a LO pro.
So Jimmy-
Can someone actually upgrade from having a LO TRS II to the current Edge Trem (sorry, I forget the name, but you don't have to cut the ball end of the strings off? Thanks Jimmy-Red43j

From a Lo TRS II to an Edge Pro, I don't think so unless you want to mess with the routing and the posts to make it fit. If, however, the JS has an Edge Pro II, the Edge Pro will more than likely drop in without any problems.
