Found a used JS1000

What a great guitar. I traded in my lonestar strat and the RG for this. Plate serial number is 012165. Anyone can tell what year this was made? Here are some pics.

Looks like an '03 or up considering it's got an edge pro. What is the serial number on the back of the headstock?

It should say something like F03XXXXX... and the first two numbers after the "F" are the year.

Don't look at the number on the plate. Look at the number behind the headstock and you should be able to get a better estimate. From the looks of it, I would venture to say that it's somewhere between 2004-early 2006 because the plate is still black. Post a pic of the back of the headstock and I (or most people here) will be able to tell you the year.

I totally skipped the part that you traded 2 guitars for it... I hope you're not going to miss them....

Re: Found a used JS1000

I'll take another pic of the headstock when I get home tonight. Thanks guys. Oh I've been looking for a JS for a while, i traded it with my MIM strat and the RG. RG was fun but the JS feels so much better in my hands I barely want to put it down. Not to mention the tone the RG doesn't even come close to it, I don't think I even have to compare the MIM strat the JS is in completely different league. So all in all I'm really happy with the trade so far.

That's good then, JS are great guitars and extremely comfortable to play on. I'm sure you'll have fun with it. Let's hope you don't get addicted to them though.....
