Yes it's a japanese one !
The bridge on the 1600 is better for me : strings go thru the body, that adds a lot of sustain. And I can adjust each string's height, which is not possible on the 700.
But anyway, the two guitars are not exactly made for the same purpose !
The 1600 is basically a Superstrat with a fixed bridge, incredible sustain and tone definition.
The 700 is a rock machine, made for raw power rock'n'roll. It's not the same feeling at all.
The weight repartition is really different on these two JS (maybe because of the neck material), the tonal characteristics are also very far from each other.
