Has anyone made a JS with a maple board?

Hey guys--quick question...I have 2 guitars, a JS 100 with upgraded Fred/Joe pickups and a MIJ Charvel San Dimas HH Pro Mod. Love them both for various reasons, but the main ones are the body of the JS (which fits me perfectly) and the awesome feel of the maple neck and fretboard of the SD.

My question is, would there be any way to get the best of both worlds here? I know Joe has played a blue JS on tour with the maple board, but I've never seen it released. And I know I can have something built, buying a JS body on Ebay and getting a neck to fit it (even a 24 fretter), but one with a maple board? Not sure if this is even possible.

Would love to hear if any JS heads have tried this experiment, or put together something close.

Well, you could also just have the rosewood board on your JS neck replaced with a maple one. I say "just"... but it's not a small operation, and not cheap. However, it's something you could look into if you're really serious about it. That way you keep the same exact neck dimensions, contour, etc. (I'm assuming you love the JS neck, which is one of it's best features).

You could buy a maple neck from one of the vendors above, I guess.

You could always slap a Strat neck on it and it should fit with little modifications.

Sweet collection Andy--what's the story on those? Bodies, necks, etc. Are those 24 frets?

Edit: Oh wait, I think andy makes these himself. Has a shop IIRC.
