Help about pickups

Im making my own guitar and I want to make one that comes next to the JS models... so i was wondering...
IS THE EMG 81-85 A GOOD COMBO ON THE JS? ty

Pearly Gates, Satriani used them in 1 guitar only though. Otherwise all his other guitars had Fred/Paf Pro combo in them.

he used this one pearly gates in his chromeboy... you won't get anywhere near the typical satch sound with that PU. personally i hate it, tbh...


get dimarzio paf pro / fred if you dig the satch tone. what does it have to be seymour duncan? ...
