How cool is the new JS Chromeboy?

I've just been over to Ibanezrules and checked out Rich's pics of this guitar and it's even more chromey than the JS10th!!! Mmmmmmm chrome.

It better be damn cool for over 5000 dollars haha. I guess it is more of a collectors guitar than a player. I'd rather just buy an old radius and send it off to get chromed.

If Joe has hung up his chromeboy for an alumiboy live, then I'd pass on it as a player. The plating appears to be exceedingly thin, based on it being worn thru to base (some sort of black primer) where his arm rests and from pick scratches.

it's good that ibanez try to get a chromey to the masses, but IMO its not acceptable to release a guitar with such a fragile finish. leave beta testing to linux users

I'm just waiting for someone to pull off doing their own Chromeboy on a Js 1 or Js guitar......it's bound to happen. For players, this just seems like the best alternative because it wont cost near as much, and for the guy who pulls it off, he can refinish chromies that need it. I'm guessing that we will see a few of the 2005 chromeboys on evilbay and then most of us will just look and laugh at the price the seller is asking. It's nice for collectors yes.
I do think the chrome pickups and the phase switch is really cool......too bad they didnt come with the Js10's. But that can be easily added to the 10th's i'm sure. I'd like to see one that has been played a lot......just to see how well the chrome holds.

Ok so when I get mine do I sell it,play it,store it for 10 years?I have an idea.I could sell it before I get it.There are only 60 being produced wordwide from what I understand.

I have done it already but messed up the clear and have to start over. Waiting for the weather to damn stay put!! I will post pics of what I haven’t stripped off it yet. There was one guy on evilbay who had a nasty messed up JS10 but he wanted to much for it. I would have loved to gotten it so I could have refinished it for testing. Being I’m working with a wood body now and not the plastic JS10 body. I’m sure the JS would be easier.

Rich, you got a beater JS10 body?
