Olie, I didn't know insurance would only pay an average. When I called my agent (allstate), he told me I could insure my prm for as much as I would want (within reason of course) and he said that if the guitar got stolen, allstate would replace it or give me the cash the guitar was insured for. I'm sure there are other companies out there that specialize in insuring musical instruments and I'm sure their policies differ.
