I actually gigged with my Crystal Planet... - And it kicked

Well...I really didn't think I'd ever actually do it, but....I think I've officially become the second person in Colorado to ever play live with a Crystal Planet! (2nd behind Joe himself a couple of weeks ago!) *Yes...it's quite heavy. *But...I played it for the entire set! *It was just a 1 hour opening set, but...I just couldn't put it down! *I've even got the red mark on my shoulder to prove it. *

Tone: *OH yeah...it's there! *I had my trusty Strat as a backup...but didn't need it! *I ran it through my Matchless Chieftain half-stack and my pedal board, and it just sang! *Incredible sustain as well...I must say, I'm quite impressed! *It performed extremely well, and emerged without so much as a single scratch. *A few fingerprints, but...still looks to be brank spankin' new.

Looks: *EVERYBODY, including the members from the other two bands, HAD to see it up close after the set! *I got nothing but the best of compliments on both the sound and the appearance of the CP. * *Don't know how often I'll actually gig with it, but...it's DEFINITELY worthy!
Did have a few people say that they couldn't even see it a few times though...too cool!

Comfort: *Well..it's heavy. *But...it really didn't bother me after a few songs! *The tone and overall playability more than made up for it. *

E-mail me if you want a pic!

The CP ROCKS!

Chris

Almost looks like you're playing air guitar with a 10 pound weight on your shoulder! The weight is the only drawback. It's an attention getter for sure!

They really are only about 10lbs. As Rich had mentioned before, the weight is deceiving, especially compared to the other Jems/JS's, which are light.

Jeez, if I could just come up with $3.5K+! Rich do you do layaways? If so, I'd be ready in about 5 years....LOL

Wow! I'd love to see some pics of that. Well done! People used to think I was mad to gig with my JS10 but I bought a 'gigged' one with marks on it specifically for that reason. I might have been more hesitant with a mint one though!

I think this has something to do with moving posts from older versions of the forum to new ones. A lot of the old posts have that...
