I had to sit down when I opened the case

I bought this from a gent on the bay that had 0 feedback. He had a 10 day listing the first part of June. After about 8 days, he pulled the ad because of all the hate mail he got accusing him of being a fraudulent seller. After all , no noobie would ever be selling a guitar of this caliber on the bay as the first item he ever sold there, right? I was one of a very few who suggested better pics in the listing , with a possible local newspaper showing the current date. And possibly something with the name he uses on the bay. He complied an edited the listing based on this but continued to get hateful emails accusing him of being a fraud. He pulled his ad based on this and was determined, he told me in his emails, to try and sell it locally. His words after almost 2 months were, "Time wasters, all". I emailed him when the ad was pulled and expressed my dismay when the auction had ended early and he then explained why. He did not care for being called a fraud/crook and was fairly disgusted with the site. He took offense and pulled the ad. After almost two months of correspondence, while he tried to sell it locally, I was finally able to convince him to try the bay again. He made his first sale on **** 2 days ago. He sent it from Wiltshire England to my door in Mich and it made it, door to door, in 20 hours. DHL was the delivery service and they had said 2 days. I was amazed at how fast it arrived. I was equally stunned at how beautiful it is. Very, very close to mint. I had to sit down when I opened the case as I have been trying to get one of these for about 3 years now. My search is finally over. Of course I gave this gent some very positive feedback and I believe I restored his faith in the bay. So the moral of the story, Don't judge a book by it's cover. I gave this guy the benefit of the doubt and am proud to say I now have my JS 90th HAM. Here are 3 pics and I will post some better ones when I can borrow my nieces camera. It takes much better photos that the cheap camera that I have.

Cheers Jeff

Congratulations!

The story that goes along with that guitar makes it even more special, if that's possible.

Rock on!

Hi Sukh, Great to hear from you. Thanks so much. The cling worked great. It was a lot thinner than the stuff I had bought. Group pics soon. I also snagged a JS 6 and a JS 2000 since we last chatted.

Cheers, Jeff

I noticed as soon as you posted the pics, but I've long lost track of that thread [which is where you'd need to post the details]. Bottom line, they evidently/obviously came both ways
