Ibanez JS100 - Made in Japan - Is there any?

HI there.Kama here from Malaysia.just wanna ask u guys, is there a Made in Japan Js100?i bought one from a friend of mine about a week ago.my friend bought it from Australia a few years back, 2nd hand.He doesnt know much about the guitar.the fret inlay says "JS Custom" and the neckplate has a "Made In Japan" engraving.is this for real?tq for ur help

or a js700:
fixed brigde, p90 pickup, red,made in japan on plate, js custom inlay on neck

It's a mutant, 1000 neck on a 100 body.

No JS100 is MIJ.

I own one actually. Both the neck and the neck pocket stamped js100, "made in japan" printed behind headstock, and serial number is "Fsomething".

I have also heard of MIJ JS100s.

700's, yes, I'd never heard of any 100's, but it would be reasonable to assume that since they did make some 700's there they also did some 100's, probably about the same time, and probably for a particular reason.

well, yes I am 99.9% sure it is a genuine MIJ js100. A friend of mine bought it in '97, I remember him paying more for it than the Korean 100's. After some time he sold it to me...
