If I buy a used JS1000....questions???

I've started the process of trying to unload a few of my other guitars that don't get played much so that I can pick up a JS1000. I don't mind the idea of buying a used one versus a new one if I can find one in good condition. My question is: are there better years than others or has the quality remained consistant every year? Also, have any of the features i.e., trem style changed or anything like that I should be aware of?

The trems on the regular JS1000's (ones you can pick up at a music store) have basically changed since 2004 from the Lo-Pro Edge to the Edge Pro. Some of the main differences are that the Edge Pro has a lower profile and it can accept strings without cutting off the ball ends, and there are no factory installed stud lock inserts. Aside from that, the body has remained basically the same, along with the electronics.
