Is the Joe pickup on the JS1200 'F Spaced'?

As the title says, can anyone confirm whether or not the neck pickup (the Joe) on a JS1200 is F spaced? The reason I ask is becase the JS neck is slightly narrower at the locking nut (42mm compared to 43mm) on the Jem and RG necks.

The specs are, F spaced 51mm centre to centre between outside pole pieces and 48mm for the standard spacing.

Thanks.

All the pickups on the JS guitars are F-Spaced.

Dont the strings sit more towards the 'inside' edge of the outer pole pieces then?

I don't believe so. Technically they should go through the middle of the pole pieces. But it isn't a perfect world and more times than not, that won't be the case.

1.) Neck pickups do not generally come F-spaced, as it's alledgedly only a concern at the bridge.

2.) It's just a cosmetic thing anyway, as there's no diiscernable tonal difference between the two.

Per DiMarzio...

"...if the nut width is 1-11/16” (43 mm) or greater, F-spaced pickups can be used in the neck position as well."

I don't think there is a right or wrong here, but more of a preference. I had a non-F-spaced Air Norton installed in the neck position of my RG and I'm wishing I'd gotten it F-spaced for better pole alignment.

On the flipside, I had an F-spaced Steve's Special installed in the bridge position of my ESP which has a stop-tailpiece/tune-a-matic bridge (Which does not require F-spacing) and I love how the poles line up directly under the strings.

I'll only be buying F-spaced pickups here on out.

Yeah but the RG neck is 1mm wider at the nut than the JS, hence an F spaced pickup would line up better with the strings, the JS is a 42mm nut like my PRS, but on the PRS the F spaced is way too wide for the string spacing, even though the string spacing is exactly the same at the bridge as it is on an RG/Jem/JS.

No its not F spaced at the neck, I bought an F spaced Joe for the neck on my JS1000 and the pole pieces were way off so I returned it. I then took the time to measused my original pickups properly with a digital vernier before ordering a Mo Joe from the USA and found that the bridge was F spaced but the neck wasnt. My Jem is F at both neck and bridge.
Hope that helps?!

I have a set of F-space Breeds in my JS1000 and the pole pieces line up just fine.

On the flip side I have a set of non F-spaced Pearly Gates for my '77 Ibanez Les Paul and it lines up on the neck and doesn't line up on the bridge. OH the humanity!!
