is this a deal? - found still new js700

I found a new js700 in a "classical" instrument store.
They had a few guitars in the corner, one was
a never-been-sold js700 for $400. I talked him
down to 365 and told him i'd come in later.
my concern is that there's a possibility i may be laid off
in a few months (the old dot-com dead pool) and
i want to know if i could at least get my money
back in pretty short order if need be.
Any opinions?

Thanks,
Mike

be sure to check if it's a japanese or a korean model.

The Korean has the "joe satriani" inlay, and the japanese has the "JS Custom" inlay.

I think if it's new, then it's a good price for a Korean JS and a wicked price for Japanese. *I think the JS700 is Korean though, that one and the JS100.
Just buy the guitar dude, you can always sell a kidney or something! LOL

Thanks for that piece of info!
I can't remember which it had, but i'll definitely
take a look.
Besides workmanship differences and monetary value,
is anything else
different between the two (neck, etc.)

Thanks,
Mike

Actually there are some 700's that have the 'F' prefix denoting Japanese production, on a few at least.

yeah, there are both korean and japanese JS700...

I had a japanese model, and it had the "JS CUSTOM" inlay - like my js1000.

I have a JS700 i found basically the same way.Iv'e never had an Ibanez,so i had questions too.I Love this Guitar.Im into electric blues and it fits every thing im tryin to do.The soapbars are sweet and singin,or growl like a bear. And it stays in tune like none ive ever had with the stop tail.Go FOR IT
