I've DONE IT!!! YEEEEEEAAAAHHHH!!!!

I finaly managed to get a JS1000!!! My dad had to sign a form to say that he would bail me out if need be... but I made a promise to myself that this would be my investment alone...

hell, i went into the shop thinkin i would be trying it out!!!
but my dad put it into context for me:

"your only 16 once, youve been playin for two years and already your putting other guitarists whove been playing much longer to shame (big headed I know, but hey, he said it...) you're not into cars, you dont pay b*lls and S*it so why not???"

so I was like... ROCK ON DAD!!!

Cool dude
That's a guitar I would never sell
I had exactly the same when I bought my 90th anniversary paul gilbert...
It looks like this: http://www.ibanezrules.com/images/gallery/pgm90_3.jpg

I loved it from the first time I saw it in real life....

Did you buy it outright or are you making payments on it?

I'm guesing payments.
That's why his dad had to co-sign the instalment form.

Congrats Kev and say "Rock on dude" to your dad from us.
I wish my parents were as understanding of my passion for music as your dad.

I got the BTB.. and it looks more gorgeous by the day...

Yeah I'm paying direct from my account at about £50 per month, my dad has been thanked but I still reminded him that I didnt want any help from him on this one... I want to say I've achieved something... He had to sign because in the eyes of the law Im a minor...

On the car front, I would only use it for 2 things... going to college and going to work (If i was going to get hammered I wouldnt be driving anyway!!!) And seeing as a bus pass costs £200 per year, and running a car would cost god kniws how much, I think I made a sensible decision...
