J Craft hard case.

I just bought a JS1200CA. Nearly new and almost mint. Came with an Ibanez MC100 guitar case. Does anybody know if the Ibanez cases with the red lining are available in the UK?

You can't buy J-Craft cases seperately ... so if a dealer has them, it's because he cheated some customer out of the free case. Besides, the 1200 looks better in the blue case.

my 1200 came in the original J-Craft case i bought in UK. Ordered from net so the crafty local guitar shop kinda person doesnt get chance to strip it down I guess.

The first year was before the Team J-Craft, and didn't come with the case. After that, they all come with the J-Craft case. Some dealers strip them out to sell for more money.

As much as some like to rip on Guitar Centers far & wide, when I received my JS1200, they let me cut both shipping boxes open, rather than pawin' up the guitar before I got there.

Then again, I paid cash when I ordered it.

Thanks for the advice. Max Cottam has advised me that the case can only be obtained with the guitar. Mine had a standard Ibanez case so I can only assume that the case was swopped with another at some stage

Ryanb, it's all a matter of personal preference. To me the 1200 looks better in a red lined case. But I know I'm being fussy as the guitar is in a very good quality Ibanez hardshell case and the guitar is fantastic!

I'll swop if someone has a red-lined case

Did you inquire with the original seller about getting the wrong case? What is the serial number on it? It is possible you have a NOS guitar and they actually gave you the case for free when it actaully might not have come with one. Just a thought.
