Japanese JS 100
I own a js100, had bought it as a js100, it has all the regular AH pu's, lotrsII, etc in it. it has a serial number that begins with F52xxxx with a small print 'made in Japan' under it. Since the js100's are all produced in Korea, then how is this possible? Was there a period that js100's were produced in Japan, or is this not a js100??

Does it have the straight, non-tilted headstock with "JS Series" on it?

Yes, and the fretboard inlay is "JS Custom", not "
Joe Satriani
"

Sounds like a JS100 with a JS1000 neck.

I've never seen a MIJ 1000. They did make some of the 700's there though. I'm guessing it has the TRS trem, and if it does it's definately a 100.

Are you sure the neck is stamped JS100 on the back?

if you mean the js100 print, it's just a simple black stamp, located where the neck is attached to the body. not visible until you detach the neck.
if you mean the logo, it's silver over black..
it looks like my guitar is a MIJ 100 somehow..
