JS 1000 vs. 100 - Vote, real or not?

I have read MANY times here that Jem owners would say that a 555 is not a real Jem. *My friend owns one and people tell him sometimes "Sell it, and get a real Jem" or something similar to that I suppose. *Would you people say the same about a JS 100? *Saying that the 100 is not a real JS? *Or is the opinion different about that guitar? *I have played a 100, and I own a 1000 BP, and the 100 pales in comparison. *Anyway, just wondering your opinions

I've owned a JS100, and it is what it is. It's Korean made (inferior and inconsistent quality compared to Japanese made), Ibanez AH pick ups, lo-trs2 trem. If you upgraded those three points, you'd have a JS1000. It's cheaper than a 1000 and you definitely get what you pay for.

To tranform a JS100 to a JS1000 you'd also have to put in the extra pull-switch. Also, multi-radius neck...for all the difference that would make.
I've played both and the 1000 is supreme, but I do think the JS100 is relatively good value for money and the trans red is sweet. Just needs a good trem to rock though.

I agree with you guys on that. *Would you consider the 100 to be a "real" JS model though? *I know that Jem owners feel like owning a real Jem is like having a new religion, and many seem biased towards the 555. *So what do you think?

I also say that, you dont have to have a "real" Jem or a Js1000 to be a great player... *Sure, i would not settle with ibanez pickupps and a lo trs, but it is not necessary to pay x$ to be a good player..

That's a nice axe. *It's actually BTB though (Burnt Transparent Blue) there's a Jem that has the BSB. *Both finishes are nice though. *Back to the topic though, I would consider the 100 to be "real". *It's a lower end signature model, but it's signature none the less.

I would die for the TBB on a JS1000, but I live in the USA and the only way for me to get one is from Rich, which I just might do.

Not to mention high pass filter and special wiring for the coil splitter to make a 100 a 1000... but if you actually do go all the way through with that, it would be very close to a 1000.

The crome boy is just a chromed version of the Js1000 ?
Someone said it was a chromed Js900. But that cant be.. *?? Or ???

The Chromeboy, or JS10th, is actually built of luthite with chrome over it. *Joe's real one is basswood with chrome over it. *So, pretty much yeah it is just a JS1000 covered with chrome. *I myself think that my favorite Satch guitar is the Crystal Planet, but right now I'm hooked on JEMs (7VWH) and EVH guitars (Axis, Wolfgang).

The 10th is luthite? The CP is lucite? Is this right?
I don't know why they would make the 10th with more traditional woods like American or Asian basswood.
