JS 10Th scratch remover

Anyone tried removing scratches from a JS 10Th using the guitar scratch remover (or similar product)?

I always wondered if the finish of the 10Th was only a chrome finish or if it has a chrome paint with some sort of lacquer high gloss coat on top of it.

There was a tenth of mine I sold through rich, or maybe one right after he sold mine where he made the discovery that he believed there was a clear coat over the chrome, but I would still be very careful and weigh out if it's worth trying to do anything because it could easily make it worse.

Leave it alone. You'll compound the problem tenfold if you don't know what you're doing.

Goldboy's are cleared, that's why they've ambered. These are very low edition number guitars. Otherwise, yes, I tried to polish the back of an upper horn one time, on the third swipe the chrome was gone and luthite exposed.

Mine is #142 and it still shines like the day I bought it. But using it for 10 min is enough to make her some hair micro scratches.

Rich do you remember the polish used on that 10th? And if I understood you right, you dont recomend the guitar scratch remover on her. Right?

I don't recomend you use anything but a very soft cloth.
