JS edge bridge setup

Hey guys!

I need some help regarding the setup of a edge bridge. I just need to know if it is okay for one side (the bass side) to be lower than the other in terms of height. I have heard that it is not advisable for one side to be lower on an edge/lo-pro edge bridge. right now I have different heights for each side on my edge bridge (in a JS1000)

any info would be greatly appreciated! thanks so much!

Yes, it's OK to have some angle across the studs. Not that I'd want the bass side action at 8mm and the treble at 1mm, that much angle I wouldn't recomend

That's odd, wouldn't say impossible, but I'd be looking at everything trying to figure out why the treble side is higher

What could you possibly do to fix it?

You'd have to figure out why first. If there was nothing "wrong" like a knife edge in a thread and not seated or a slipped neck shim that's now seated trebble side, it's really not a "problem", just odd and atypical

hmmm.... actually I meant that I adjusted the height of the studs so that the treble side is higher. is that wrong?

It's not "wrong", but I'm sure more than a few would ask, why?
