Oh I'm not surprised at all that there's no JS7. That's a long gone pipe dream like you said Rich. I'm not gonna be surprised if they can the UV again I'd be curious to know how well UV777's are selling these days?

As for the JS 1000 CA, if I buy a new Ibanez this year, this will be the one. But I'm still not sure about the Edge Pro, and I'm not yet quite prepared to take the financial hit to confirm my current suspicions.

I'm also interested if they'll have a gold logo on a red guitar with cosmo black hardware? I'm a very visual person when it comes to guitars, (I know I sound bad, so I might as well look cool )

If Rich already sold 2, I would assume it is a JS1000.

I think the red is a good choice. What color hardware?

Specific model is the JS1200CA [Candy Apple] with the Fred and PAF JOE.

I'm a shill for Ibanez?! Right, as Hoshino would say, "Their biggest fan, their biggest critic". I'm not sure exactly what "new" model you were expecting, different body shape? Double-neck? WHAT?! HELLO!!! The line needed a new color, it gets a REALLY NICE new color. I'm happy, the rest of you can go jump off a bridge [Glen first]

Jono, I'd pretty much expect the gold logo, there's always that slight possibility that if the production model gets the chrome hardware I hope it does then we might see a very compatible silver logo.

I guess people are mostly dissappointed about the fact that it is a 1000 model (ok 1200, but it's still nearer to 1000 than to 2000). The CG was ugly (to most people) but it was a 2000 so it was still regarded as a higher end model than the BP and WH.

To me (and I think to most people) this new guitar seems as nothing as a red JS1000 BP equivalent and that is why we are kind of let down. I admit I was also waiting for the seven-string since I saw Joe showing a very cool one in a video I downloaded from his site.

I still love the red finish and I do think it's a bit unfair to already be criticizing the model before it comes out, though. Specially with a new pick-up configuration (i'm really interested in how this new PAF JOE sounds).

ANyway let's just wait and listen.

HELL NO!! I've spent too much time learning nothing about PC's no have to start learning nothing about something else!!

2.8G dual HT, 800mb front side, 1G of 400mb, 2 x 80G drives, running XP and this thing is just FLYING!!! On my 400 I'd get bandwidth tests from 2wire at 1400K, I'm getting 3.1K now, and an ebay page that would take a full 7 seconds before it would load and give me mouse control is done in 1 second flat. My inbox currently at 6800 [time for a trim] would take 20 seconds to load, 3 seconds now, an email would take 9 seconds to connect and send, 1 second now. Am I happy? What do you think?
