Okay, for the people(like me) that were wondering about the PAF Joe..

Specs look like this(Taken from here: PAF Joe @ Dimazrzio.jp )

Output - 272mV
DC Resistance - 8.26kΩ
Magnet - Alnico 5

Treble - 6.5
Mid - 5.0
Bass - 4.5

Looks like it's got the 'Virtual Vintage Technology' too, like most of the recent Dimarzios..

BTW, the DP213 number is kinda creepy, that was Jeffrey Dahmer's street address.

JS series

To me I think Ibanez Guitars are Booring as hell !
not a looker anyway. sure the JS body is nice and all but limited colors and no graphics!! they look normal. you know what I mean, won't make you open your eyes and jaw! saying all that the limited models are great!
but Ibanez should put more heart in the JS models for the fans,
the JEM seems to be the fav with Ibanez as they get all the attention.
I'm sending my JS1000 to be done like Joe's "Flamed Joe" guitar.
the price is ok but I'm sire of the result!

JS1200

Anyone knows when the new JS1200 will be available ? I have seen the pictures on

http://www.ibanezrules.com/namm/2004...7_js_pg_at.htm

but does this new paint have something with the special 90th Ham finish (reflect changes depending on the light direction ) ?

It isn't a colour-shifting paint like on the JS90th.

They're calling it Candy Apple Red, but i don't know if Ibanez has done a true "candy apple" process or if they just painted it metallic red with a clearcoat.

Candy Apple finishes are generally applied by first painting down a base coat of silver or gold, and then following with several layers of tinted clear finish to get the right depth.

That's exactly what it is, there's either a silver metalic or pearl first coat and the clear is the tinted color. Just like the 2000's, and the BTB's are also tinted clear.

The 2000s use a tinted clear? That would make sense... i thought the Champagne Gold colour had more depth than a regular sprayed metallic gold.

Hi!
The JS1200 is already for sale on www.musicstorekoeln.de (1620 euros)
I asked them wether they had it in stock or not, or when they would have it, and they just answered me that it is a "special order"...(!)
so they wouldn't have it in stock anyway...

I feel that in any case it won't be in stores before the Musik Messe in Frankfurt end of March...???

Best regards,
Vince

It would be nice to see the return of the translucent blue finish with chrome hardware. Or even "black dog" Js1000.
As far as graphics, i think Joe should have his sisters do another run of their artwork, not necessarily another rainforest or rainbow, but something else, that they woud do well.
Would they say "No" to Joe??

The 2004 catalog also shows the AT300 with dot inlays. I'm guessing that they needed to get the catalogs ready and printed before specs were finalized. It happens.

Black dog JS1000:

buy a JS1000BP
buy some permanent markers preferably pink and white
Grab the neighbours baby (or your own) and let them go nuts...

I'd just like to see the JS1000bp with chrome hardware.

And available in Europe. The only JS models I see are BTB's

I now have the hots and means to buy a JS900 and lo and behold they're discontinued.

Paul, Nevada Music are still offering them on their site.
Offcourse bying here would cost you 30% more than it should but if a JS900 is what you want...........
