I just want a lefty model at some point. Doesn't really matter what model JS1000 or JS100. It's going to be modding time anyway after I get it !

Regards

Yeah, I think JS's look way better with straight headstocks and regular joints. 24 frets would be nice, though. For the 20th/100th aniversary, they should make the JS2 a production model. I wonder what they would call it since theres already a 2000. JS2CH perhaps. The lower numbers (JS1, JS2, JS3 etc) have always stuck in my mind as higher quality guitars. Maybe it was the original Edges they used to have, even though the newer models have multi-radiused necks. I wish Ibanez would have never came up with the Lo-TRS, even though the TRS are good for people on low budgets.

It's a signature model and Joe has not played 24-fret electric guitars in the 15+ years? ...glen

Joe has a UV that he played before they built him the oiled 7's, he's just never had them "make" him a 24

Joe is more of a traditionalist in his approach to guitars.

After seeing a few more pics of the JS1200, i'm surprised they didn't put a chrome logo on the headstock. That beautiful candy-apple red finish with all the chrome hardware looks awesome, especially with the matching headstock. But the gold logo on the red with chrome hardware just looks out of place, and kind of spoils the look a bit.

The 1200CA sucks almost as much as the 1000BP. They are completely boring. Ive just swap a JS1000BP for a Jem7BSB. There is a world of diference amog this two guitars.

Even when they tried to do "something different" with the BTB, the BSB turned out SO much cooler...

The JS is guitar that needs some kind of grapphic or special finish to cought attention, much more than the jem. It has dot inlays, doesnt have a pickguard, doesnt have binding. Hell, it is as simple as it gets (basswood body with regular solid paint, with a rosewood board with dot inlays ). To make thongs worst Satch almost never plays the JS1000 nor the 1200. THey should make "the snake" and resissue the Donnie and an affordable Chrome version.

I really dont see tha much JS in the streets even when it is an affordable Guitar endorsed by Joe Satriani who is ontly guitarrist with as much appeal or more as Steve Vai.

Well its true that he just started playing them in the las year or so. But, for a long time he played guitars that werent available to the general public.

I guess he must have got some kind of beg or attention call from ibanez to actually "endorse" the actual guitars being sold.

I think you ll somehow agree that the JS is too simple and lacks the appeal that it had when the JS with graphics were available

BTW, did you receive the bigger picture I send of my 2nd UV77MC? You said it appeared to be an ATD to you. Im intrigued since I would ve sworn it was an MKR.

Personally, I don't see how the 1200 could be better, except for the chrome logo as noted.

You said you were going to send it, but never did or forgot to attach

Joe retired all the guitars he has a long and meaningful history with rather than risk the heartache of having them stolen [which was confirmed]

Well, i have to agree that the 1200 is an improvement over the 1000BP. The matching headstock and crhome hardware algon with a more appealing colour certaainly add to the looks of the guitar. May be some red pick ups ala 770dx would have been nice. A different inlay or at least a special inlay in the 12 fret wouldnt hurt either

I sent you an email last night, there must have been some kind of trouble. Ill send you another one tonight. The quility of the picture isnt much better, but it shows only the boy so it can be better apreciated.

I've never liked the BP, but if they added some stupid 12th fret inlay I wouldn't like any of them.

I did get it last night, sillty me. Not the highest res but reminds me of Hugh [Burtch's old ATD] and I think you'll find that light pink wrapping inside the upper horn the proof. Although the only real proof is pulling the neck, but I'd still classify it ATD. It's a 91', Lo Pro, and has all the elements.
