Yeah, I thought it was Hugh indeed. But it has the original pickups (Hugh had the green and yellow ones). I cant recall now but I think it had an Edge instead of a Lo Pro Edge (remember I havent seen it in person yet! ).

How about the red pups? The alien head that you have plenty on your site would make an interesting inlay for the JS (in red or pearloid)

May be a not stupid 12 fret inlay?

I would definately boy one of them if it came with those features!

But to swap the pickpups and have the inlay work done would mean about U$S400

Aw hell, look at that, it IS Hugh!!

That's what happens when I get pics upside down! He did put the original pups back in it before he sold it. Funny how far south it went

Alien heads? Little small ones like dots? Sorta cool, I doubt Joe would go there though. Maybe 10 years ago but he's in his mid 40's now

Personally, i like the JS. It's simple, versatile and understated, not all flash and craziness like a JEM.

Unless it's chrome or has crazy skulls painted all over it, nothing wrong with those either

Thanks Rich, so it turned out to be Hugh!

Well I might be keeping both, just to have one ATD and one MKR. I actually like more the swirl of my MKR than the swirl of my ATD. Gess Darren wasnt very inspired in this one.... but waht the hell! I m going to take equal care of both!

Its not very swirly but it is pretty strange!

Yeah, I agree. Not the best swirl, but I kind love all multicolors (and Iv got an amazing deal on this one, so Im very happy with it!).

The name is SO accurate! Ive made up my mind.... Im keeping it for good!

Its now on the South America capital of Universes! (funny how much high end ibanez end up there considering that it is a very small population. I gess 10 years of having the currency peg 1 on 1 to a dollar had at least 1 positive effect.......it had a TON of negative effects though!)

So... I don't want to bring it up again... actually i do.
I'm still thinking the JS-7 would be an awesome guitar, if it came out I would sure have a hard decision between the UV777 and the JS-7.
That said, im in australia and i would like to know if AUS$4500 is a good price for the UV777P, ive been after a Universe for quite a few years. I wouldnt mind anyones donations to help me on my way either .
Also, I am getting an Ibanez Rg from a second hand place, im not sure which RG it is, it has V pickups and a glittery blue finish, and wizard neck... who can help?

Going by some of the stuff he wears on stage.. I wouldn't have said that was entirely out of the question

Hello, I was wonderin' the same thing. What about his JS 7-string prototype?
A JS 1000 7-string would be nice.

I'm a shill for Ibanez?! Right, as Hoshino would say, "Their biggest fan, their biggest critic". I'm not sure exactly what "new" model you were expecting, different body shape? Double-neck? WHAT?! HELLO!!! The line needed a new color, it gets a REALLY NICE new color. I'm happy, the rest of you can go jump off a bridge [Glen first]
Hey Rich, I totally agree with you on this, however it would be nice (since
Joe is incorporating the 7-string on a few songs and live) If Ibanez
did a limited production run of a JS 1000 WH 7-string. I still love the JS line.
People are just too crazy about Jems that they ignore the JS, thats all.
