After all, a 20th anniversay and also the 100th anniversary of Hoshino must lead to a Goldboy. Moreover, the Chromeboy was already released twice (even if the the JS2 models were avorted).

They can (and even must!) think of reactivating those old and rare models that were JS3, JS4 and JS5. That seems plausible : the JS2 was "reativated" with the JS10th. But no reactivitation happened as to the JS3-5. Let's cross fingers
See how desperate we are, this was posted in '03! Put something wild out!

Re: JS future options (2004 ibanez ad blurb)

i'd love to see:

new colors on js1000 / js 1200 (candy apple is gorgeous, but if its the only one you get easyly bored) ... (black pearl is awesome, but how abouw tweaking it a little bit, like a guitar thats on the g3 tokyo pics, i think, kinda black , but with some red, and stuff? a "mystic blac" like a mystic dream but black swinging to red / purple / blue etc)

i'd love to se a (ie. js1200 "retro") js with (you name the color) and a ORIGINAL FREAKING EDGE TREMELO OR LO PRO EDGE! (they shouldn't have take those ones off the market... if there is nothing to fix, dot fix a thing!)

hoshino 100th? WT.... :O ... mmm .... grafic ones?... dunno... im already brain dead ... had too much "arepas" (im from venezuela) and im entering in a vegetal sort of mode...

Re: JS future options (2004 ibanez ad blurb)

Having fallen on love with my JS1000 again. I'd like to see the simplicity of a re-release of the black and white JS1's with the original chrome edge trems.

+1. I'd love to see the return of a production white JS.

My first JS purchase would probably have to be a JS1200 in Candy Apple. Love that color!

But I would rank white higher than black for a second choice. If they re-released a modern JS in white I would definitely consider one for purchase.

If they re-release the white js1000 (JS1000WH)
I would sell whatever I had to to get one. Why was it discontinued?
Also while I am ranting, Why can't I get a js1000btb in the US??!!

Re: JS future options (2004 ibanez ad blurb)

This mnay seem like a daft question, but what is the scale length of the JS? 25.5", like Fender; or 24.75", LIKE gibson? Or is it something else entirely?

I 'had a go' with a JS in a local music shop yesterday. What a fantastic neck! Must be the nicest neck ever. The humbuckers sound fantastic when overdriving a valve amp too! I think I'm in love, and I am a dicated Fender Strat fan!!

It must have had one of the lowest actions I've seen, and apart from some slight choking of the top E during bends (posssibly 'cos it's set TOO low), not a buzz in sight. I just wondered if it was a Gibson scale length, because (inter alia), all other things being equal, shorter scale length guitars can often be set slighty lower without buzzing.

Oh. and before I get loads of replies about action height verses fretboard radius, trebley woods and pickups, I KNOW! But scale length IS a contributing factor.
