PS Do all of the JS series have his name emblazoned in the fret board at the top end of the neck? Not too keen on that!

The JS 100's do. The 1000's only have the "JS Series" logo on the headstock.

Is the difference between the JS1000/1200 only the colour and the neck pickup?

Yes. That is all. (There have been some trem changes over the years, but those apply to both the 1000 and 1200.)

can eney one tell me were the hell i can find replacement screws for the top nut (in the uk) sent my 1200 in for a set up and the bastard striped the heads had a hell of a job to get them out

there just m4 ( i think) 4mm machine screws, Dunno how long they are off the top of my head 12mm long I'd guess. You can get stainless steel ones, probably plated ones too. ( I'm taking your talking about the screws used to clamp the strings and not the ones used to bolt the top nut to the neck), ebay has plenty of choice , or screwfix.
