the other models...edge pro problem

I've looked at the sites of the other names mentioned in the in the aforementioned add....no new news of signifcance to this topic. but a probible look alike for the timmons model is either the SA or the GRX(?) that hes holding in a photo on the site, the PGM is defineatly a hardtail....I just got back from seeing him in japan reasently and he was using one for several songs...A dealer I deal with alot has suggested using the Hipshop tremsetter if theres a real problem, I use the hipshot on my (ahem) strat....I've had some good results with its floyd.

Hi all,

I just finished watching the new Vai London DVD for the 100th time with my jaw open, this time with the commentary track on. Towards the end Vai says the new JEM for Feb 2004 will be the silver (chrome?)-faced guitar he plays. I think he said the back and sides may be black. I'm hoping for a Sustainiac in the neck if it's true!

Anyone else hear that or was I dreaming?

By the way, the commentary track is hilarious. Vai gets a bunch of cell phone calls (and takes them!) and you can hear them chowing away. I love these guys!!

The New jem is part of a two axe release from Steve, the Joe Satriani model is most likely a under $1100 JS2000.....but this may appear in the summer the new Jem is one of two coming out this year.

And I'm correct in guessing the amount you will share with us, is the amount we already know? (nothing)

While not an 'official' Ibanez dealer, Rich is still a dealer and learns things in confidence that he can not share.

Be patient, you'll have plenty of time to drool over the pics that Rich is sure to post after the show. :P

I withdraw my comment about a JS...I was lookin at pics from G3 and saw a JS2000 for a one song....but I heard the same thing in the commentary on the Vai DVD concerning a new jem color, not model, although that was even vague in the referances...don't count the penny jar until NAMM is over

the only thing i question is if the EP7 going to have much longevity? After all SSV is not know for his find acoustic works on the whole.
but i still want one. but would have prefered to have a new UV model.

i bet it's a 7 string js and a few new finishes perhaps (the 1000 line deffo needs one... only bp is boring. and the js2000 would run better if it was available in diff colors than cg which some peeps think of as ugly )

but i guess everyone has the same guesses that i have

This is off Joe's site...he posted it today, Janaury 1:

...The NAMM show in January will see the release of my new signature amp with Peavey, the "JSX", it's a screamer! And, a new Ibanez JS model, red body and headstock, with a newly designed DiMarzio neck pickup, "PAF JOE", to better match the Fred.

Thank God, finally a matching headstock!
