Supposedly more "tubular" toned than the Pro, of course this is the one he was playing on tour. [always leave it to the artist to break the news LOL]

That makes me a bit sad. I hoped for more changes to the js1000 design, but a new finish and a new pickup......

well not for me....I love my JS1000

oh come on... this is a bit pathetic... if at least they would offer some new finishes for js1000 and js2000 ...

the red guitar is nice, for sure... but i expected a bit more, tbh

that red JS needs the flame (ala satch's paint) or it's imho a pretty pointless "new" model (which will be ignored in retail)... glen

The Red comes a year or two too late for me, I'm not an "edgePro" fan still... Red is one of my fave colours for guitars, my current main squeeze is a Candy Apple Red RG.

And... I've quite fancied another amp addition for a while too...

I think I probably need some new sunglasses and a haircut while I'm at it

Having said that, I'd also loved to have seen the JS7-string and "the flip-flop-flames/red snakeskin 90th hybrid respray thing" (that should be a new Joe song title) as a limited edition.

Unreal. Everybody whines and complains there was only one drab color available, they come out with a very nice [everybody that saw it comented on how nice] deep candy apple red to actually put some color back in the line, and everybody is disapointed?! You were expecting a JS7? People, that was from 2001, don't you think they would have released it in 2002 if they were going to?! As for sales my bet is you see more reds sold than BP's this year, I already have 2 sold, so POO on the rest of you whiners who will never be happy with anything they do

come on Rich... don't be an ibanez shill Rich. Yes, a js7 is completely unwarranted - noone could really expected that - but a lame red JS1000 (that doesn't match his touring one) is anti-climactic and basically pointless. then again, the JS line itself has been lost at sea for nearly a decade now, short of the JS10 ...glen

Not true at all, not a case of never being happy, just once again when the chance is there for a real eye popper or evolutionary design, the easy route is taken. like i said, great a red guitar.
If Ibanez released an official new jem with a swirl or a flame top, it would sell big time whatever our personal tastes are, the same is true if they re-released or even released a satch graphic or fabric finish.
This also relies on a realistic price being affixed of course.
