JS Rubina

Here's what should have been the JS20th. The Rubina Replica.

Here's the original, for those who didn't know of this guitar before this thread:

I love this guitar, GuitarGuru. The current 20th is cool, this would have 500 times better.

It's really great how you can copy the graphic JSs so well.

Re: JS Rubina

Nice one Guru I like that a lot.
Heres mine, second guitar I ever had, painted back in 86 when I first saw the feature on Joe in Guitar player

Re: JS Rubina

It was a Charvel mongrel, why would Ibanez even consider doing this?

Cool paint job though. I thought you had an addiction to JS graphics Rich

Re: JS Rubina

You don't think it would sell, regardless, Rich? I hear people express a longing for a new graphic JS like this one quite frequently.

Rich is right. The fact that the guitar that had that finish wasn't an Ibanez to begin makes a big difference. Right or wrong, that's how guitar companies think.

Re: JS Rubina

I think Blackdog was the right guitar to do. Obviously Surfin was at it's 20th and it was it's time, but Blackdog was the right guitar.

Re: JS Rubina

I disagree with the OP, and agree with Rich. Black Dog is far more widely recognised and associated as being a big part of his career, and i think justifiable as the 20th!!

You're right Andy, but the Rainbow, Forrest (and Rubina) graphics are very cool

Re: JS Rubina

Yeah, the BDG is a good choice for the 20th. I forgot about that one for a second and only thought of the Surfing model.

This Rubina one could make a cool 1200 model, though.

With a little twist to your words. You want to see a reissue of EVO rather than the PAW UVMC?

Re: JS Rubina

That's different though. Evo is more recognisable because of all the battle scars!! I wouldn't want a guitar that's falling apart And the VWH is still in production,

So actually, applying my logic would mean the PAW UVMC would have been more suitable due to the exposure that guitar had at probably the most important time in Steve's career
