Whats so special about it? It looks like a white JS900. Ive heard there was a special series made some time ago for a certain music shop or event (If I recall correctly) that was basically a JS900 with some minor details (joes signature, but nothing more that I can tell).
The description in the auction seemed a little deceiving. The "selected" tone woods are most likely the same that are use in the JS1000 and 900, and the "smal group of craftmen" is as "small" as Fujigen factory can be called small.
It wasnt so expensive though so, if the guy who bought it cares for s Satch signature on his guitar, may be it wasnt such a bad deal.
I think one of these, in very good condition, was reported sold for 800-900 in Mexico last year.
