JS with fender type tremolo

I know Js6 and JS600 is fixed bridge but was wondering
if there's a JS with fender type of tremolo instead of floyd?

I don't really use the floyd tremolo that much anymore but
still want to keep it and just can't get enough from the sustain.

The tremol-no a good solution?
Can anyone photoshop the fender tremolo to JS?

A guy from Germany had a JS replica made by Rainer Tausch (located around Munich) with a Wilkinson trem. Try doing a search.

Those JS customs are so gorgeous.

The JS has to be the ultimate body shape, i'm thinking JS with a string through trem would be spunk-worthy lol

Re: JS with fender type tremolo

If you don't need the trem and you are looking for more sustain (and you aren't going to switch to a JS6), you would be a lot better off to just do a good job of blocking the trem with (carefully made) wood blocks. A Fender trem would only make things worse and look horrible while doing it.

Re: JS with fender type tremolo

Yeah, you are not going to get better sustain out of a fender type trem, or any other trem for that matter. The Ibanez floyd is still the best, IMHO. Good all-around performance. If you are having sustain problems there is most likely something else wrong with the setup of your guitar.

Find an old Ibanez trem setter.

Re: JS with fender type tremolo

A string through fixed bridge will give you better sustain, most definately. (compared to any stock floating bridge).

Re: JS with fender type tremolo

that's obvious but I didn't really believe the difference was that big until I traded my JS90th for a JS6000...

The guy who had these Tausch-JS built is on jemsite aswell iirc... gitarrero or something was his name.

Re: JS with fender type tremolo

Talk to Rich. He gets them in periodically. JS6 with the natural finish mahogany is the way I would go.

Re: JS with fender type tremolo

Ibanez also made the 442R, which was an HSS Radius model (the basis of the JS) that has a strat-type trem. They show up on evilbay here and there, but I got mine from Zoner here on Jemsite (I've upgraded the pups since the pic was take, now has a black/cream zebra Air Zone in the bridge):

They also made the 542R, which had 3 single coil pups:
