Question

JS1 ('90/'91) Volume Pot Wiring / Wiring Model?

Hi,

I have recently acquired a JS1, 2 pickup model with skunk stripe in the neck, so I guess its a 90-91 model.

Have a problem with the volume pot as it doesnt reduce the volume much...i.e. at "zero" on the knob it has only reduced the guitar volume by approx 30% and obviously it can still be heard through the amp.

I can't find a wiring diagram for the JS1 anywhere. The earliest JS1000 wiring model is from '94 and there appear to be differences (E.G. I have a 471k resistor on the vol pot wired into the middle lug!) Looks like some of the connections on my pot have been resoldered so I dont know how standard it is...

Can anyone help me with a wiring diagram or comparison with their own JS1?

By the way, this JS1 smokes my JS1000 for sound and playability!!!!

Thanks
Kirbs
