JS1 Christmas Surprise!!!

I was on that purchase site we all know and hate and decided to bid on a red JS100 just to plink around on. I didn't want a new one and I didn't want to spend a lot of money.....so I find one and win. Last night to my surprise when I open the case I find a '92 JS1 in Indigo Red with a serial number on the neckplate lower than 900!!!!!! I felt like I had won the lottery. I paid a fair price for a used JS100 but thats not what this guy had....oh well, I can't feel bad as I think we both made out. But WOW.

Ahhh, so you're the jackass that outbid me eh? Oh well, at least it went to good hands. Please post some detailed pictures of that Inferno Red, including all its scars.

Congrats on the purchase.

Re: JS1 Christmas Surprise!!!

No offense intended, I was just being silly.

However, I would trade you that inferno red for a brand spanking new js 100 in your color of choice that I'll personally have guitar center ship out to you, seeing as how you wanted a guitar to "plink around"

I did see that someone is selling a pair of chrome pickup rings on the bay. Please post some pics soon, I'm anxious to at least see this thing in high res pics.

Congrats again!

No offense taken, I love this forum and all the people on it have been great. I just wanted to share my good fortune. I am sorry you didn't win the auction but I just had my heart set so..... I also just want to take a moment and say happy holidays to everyone, and god bless

Same to you Jim!

On a serious note, I'm really happy for your purchase and I'm really glad that someone from this site was able to acquire it. I've been gassing for another unsual JS to go along my JS2PRM.

Enjoy that JS1, I bet it looks better than a JS1200.

Re: JS1 Christmas Surprise!!!

It's not a 92', 92' would be HSH. Do me a favor and email [or post] the neck plate number so I can add it to my spread sheet.

Re: JS1 Christmas Surprise!!!

Nice score. I want a white JS 1, those aside from the 90ths have always been my favorite JS guitars. Congrats!

Pics too.
