JS1 Re-issue?

I was surfing around and i came across an online store in Korea advertising a 'JS Special'.

It's white with a chrome Edge trem' and hardware, it's got a serial number on the back of the headstock beginning with F03 and what looks like Joe's signature on the back with #58 written also.

My imediate thoughts were 'Bulls*#t' but i've got to ask does anyone know if there was a 15th ann' JS and is this it?

Rich do you know anything?

Ibanez hasn't said anything, but I've heard they are also going to do something in honor of selling 50,000 Jems.

Tommy Lee [I think] had them build a run of JS1000WH's with the Edge on them, 100 I believe. For what reason I have no idea but he'll still have many left even a few years from now

Jesus you work late dude!

Thanks for the info, checked the site, no info there. I've sent a mail to the store that is advertising it, 'if' they get back to me i'll post the reply.

Thanks again Rich

I i've not mistaken, i saw 10 units of the 'JS Special' that you mentioned earlier in the music store that i go to here in malaysia. It is actually sold in singapore and a few other countries. It is a limited edition model. It is suppose to be a look a like JS1000 White according to Ibanez. It is hot stamped behind the headstock and with Satriani's (the man himself) signature on the back plate and each JS Special is Numbered! Im not sure how many units they produced but i am sure that they did not make many. the only difference is that it has a Edge tremolo rather than the usual Lo-pro. this model was issued becoz Satriani was supposed to come to malaysia and singapore and a few other asia countries last year for guitar clinics/performance, but due to unforseen circumstances he did not make it.

Yeah, you've described exactly what i saw, i wonder if any will make it to the west?

Would'nt mind picking one of those up, bit dubious about doing deals over the net with peeps in the east though.

Thanks for the info'.

Here's what it would look like. The pic is a JS1, which is essentially a 1000 with an Edge.

The only things that drew me to it were the signature and the 'specced like Joe's' kind of thing.

Anyway, i've had a reply from the store after asking for more info':

'No Good, shipping very expensive'

Sums up the way the deal would probably go i think.

Weird they write that, since you would be paying for the shipping propably anyway. But if you want to potential customers that's the way I guess !

The current high-end JS models also have gold logos. Does the special edition have a gold or silver logo?
