JS1 wiring

I really need some help here.
I am the proud owner of a JS1 inferno red, J plate J000839, 1991? as it is inferno red. But after taking delivery from the **** purchase I noticed the wiring was a hack job not only that but on looking at the pups noticed the bridge pu had a DP101 stamped on it and the Neck pu has S1 stamped on it.
My understanding is that the S1 stamp is indeed a PAF pro but the DP101 is a Dual Sound, so not the FRED as it should be.

So the wiring is a mess and I would really like to rewire it back to the original but cannot find a diagram any where for the JS1, plenty of 1994 + js1000 but not the JS1.
Can anybody please help me on this

many thanks

Re: JS1 wiring

I have a JS-1 wiring diagram on my work computer. I can email it to you on Tuesday when I am in the office. I have given it to a few on here so perhaps someone else can send it to you in the mean time. I know I sent a copy to Rich. Alternatively you can email Ibanez which is how I got a copy in the first place.

Congrats on scoring a JS.

It's the same diagram as a 1000.

Re: JS1 wiring

Is the JS-1 in question one with a H/s/H setup or the H/H? The diagram I have is for the H/S/H pickup configuration.

Re: JS1 wiring

opps
just realized you have the H/S/H not the H/H
I will try ibanez, but in australia you cant get to them directly you have to go through a distributor, as the email contact on the ibanez website is only for US residents.
Thanks for your help

Re: JS1 wiring

The '92 HSH has a "standard" 5-way jem switching (see the vwh diagrams with the vlx switch), the only purpose for the push-pull switch (only the tone pot has one) was to (de)-activate the High pass filter. So, if you want the factory wiring, you'll be fine with a combination of the vwh diagram with the js1000 diagram for the switch part. I'd gladly dig out the diagrams for you but I somehow cant get the ibanez site to work right now.
