Re: js100 fret issues

so, what is considered "low" action? my rg550 is about 1mm @ the 24th, my les paul is about 2mm, my jackson is less than 1mm. my js is like 3.5mm now, lol. whats your guitars like?

Re: js100 fret issues

I have a JS100 as well, and I had some fret buzzing issues. Because it's a lower priced model, I just decided to take to it myself. I picked up a 9.5" radius block from Stewmac, got some doublestick tape and put some 600 grit paper on it, and lightly leveled the frets. Smoothed them out with 1000 grit paper and then 0000 steel wool. It worked out great. Got rid of the buzzing.

There's lots of tutorials on the web and Youtube. You could always practice this on an even cheaper neck you don't mind trashing.

Expensive doesn't mean good, and cheap doesn't mean bad. But if it's work that you can't do, you at least expect competent work when you pay somebody to do it. The competent ones will have a following, just network a little in your area and you'll find out who they are.
