Hi,

Yep I think I would be better off with a JS 1000. My idea was to get a 100 and replace the trem with an edge (I prefer it to a lo pro) and get seymours for the pickups.

It's all a question of budget!!!

Boy am I sick of GAS!!!!

To be honest Col, by the time you've bought a 100 in the U.K. plus lopro/edge and pups change you could have a 1000 from Rich plus shipping and tax and it would most probably work out similar....if a few bucks more then it's 100% worth it, you know that.

Keep your eyes open for some S Series on ebayuk too.

Go for a 2nd 1000 if you ask me, the 100 although a reasonable guitar is way overpriced for it's range.

Please trust me on this - Get a JS1000 off of Rich - he even has a 2nd hand one for about $825 (£570ish). Shipping is roughly $105.

I bought a JS100 from Thetford Music in Thetford for £599. Alternatively, try www.percypriors.co.uk www.soundsgreatmusic.com or www.gak.co.uk .

BUT remember, if you buy a lo-pro/edge it won't fit the trem cavity on the JS100 so you have to do some work on the body to make it fit.

I now have a JS1000BTB off of Rich - well worth the money - wish I listened to him in the 1st place.

Doesn't matter who you buy it from, what matters is what you buy. Pass on the 100, no matter how much money you put into it to mod it, at heart it's still a 100.

That's true - it's like, no matter how many boob jobs Rich goes through, or sex changes... Rich is still Rich deep down.
