js1200 or js1000 or js100

Hi ya, do u guys think i should get js1200 or js1000 or js100? Lets assume that nothing changes in js model in namm 2006 (NO!!!). Currently I have just nice amount of money to get a js100, should i get that? Or should i withdraw some money from the bank and probably eat grass for the next month for the sake of js1200/100? And is there any difference(expect the pickups) between js1000 and js1200? And is PAF joe that much better than PAF pro? Or its just personal peferences?

I personally would go for an older JS1000. Just because I prefer the colours and the trem/bridge. Although saying that, the JS1200 is absolutely gorgeous in person when you see it. Its beautiful.

Buy used. Second-hand Ibanezes can go for ridiculously low prices, and you'll get them already broken in and properly mellowed.

Do NOT whatever you do get the JS100. You will be sorry.

I'd go for the JS1200, but it's up to you. The only difference between the 1200 and 1000 is the neck pup and the color. I'd expect NAMM to bring us this year's JS1200 with the 'Mo Joe in the bridge instead of the Fred -- might be worth waiting for. If you prefer the older trems, look for a used JS1 or JS1000.

I wouldn't mind a JS1000 myself

You can get them cheaply used too!

If you can help it, do NOT get the JS100. I've tried both the JS100 and 1000 and the 100 doesn't come close to the 1000. The 1000 is better construted, has a better trem, and of course Dimarzio pickups. IMHO the 100 felt a bit cheap compared to the 1000, and the bridge felt a bit stiff for me.

Re: js1200 or js1000 or js100

Looks like js100 is really that bad! Anyway what the difference between the bridge on js1000 and js1200? Isnt it the same edge pro except for its finish? One thing i gotta agree candy apple is really a kick arse colour althought in pictures it doesnt appear very well, too bad my local store juz run out of it (dam! just when i have enought money this kind of **** stuff happen on me). I guess i just have to have for namm 2006, and probably gotta wait for 2 months before my local dealer have stocks for the new one.

The Edge Pro on the 1000 is Cosmo Black, whereas the Edge Pro on the 1200 is Chrome.

And is PAF joe that much better than PAF pro? Or its just personal preferences?[/quote]

I own both (JS1000BP & JS1200CA).
JS1000 - fred (bridge) - PAFPro (neck)
JS1200 - fred (bridge) - Joe (neck)

Out of the two, i prefer the sound of the PAFPro rather than Joe, but i am a big fan of the pro. Its all down to personal preference m8.

The 1200CA is serious eye candy though!!!
