Re: js2000buyhelp!!!

Do you play other JS models? I have a JS 1000 and JS 2000. I used the JS2000 for altered tunings and has 10s on it. The neck is perfect for easy chord grips. It definitely has better sustain than my 1000. If you have your heart set on it, I'd say go for it. There are of course alternatives. I assume you've considered them.

Re: js2000buyhelp!!!

Have you considered an RG321? I haven't tried one, but may be more Jem-like and maybe less cash? The JS has a fretboard radius like a strat (rounder) so not as low action as a Jem, but not the neck is not as wide either - and the 2000 does sing. I get a lot of compliments on how elegant it looks too. Also, consider that the 2000 is discontinued, so they are rare compared to the black pearl finish. Good luck with your decision.

... there's also the possibility of putting in some type of trem locking device for on-the-fly hard-tail/floating bridge options.

Re: js2000buyhelp!!!

hmmmm it is a tough descision. I donīt want to block any of my guitars and the RG line with the wizard neck is not an option for me.
The money are not the issue, it is more how it sounds and work.
thank you all for your answers it is not easy to decide

well in that case, i don't think you can go wrong with the js2000. great tonal characteristics/options with the humbuckers and coil tap & I really notice the difference in sustain compared to my js1000.

I play the JS2000, I used to have two of them! I also have JS1000BP, so I know the difference between the two. If the guitar is in excellent condition, $1000 is a steal. I sold one of mine on fleabay for $1300 and I should have kept it, because I will wear this one out eventually. The neck is more strat like, but much better, and if you are used to playing with a floyd then the transition will be painless with the JS2000.

Grab that deal before I find it!
