Re: JS20th

Yep. I think Joe and Ibanez have truly perfected the JS. The guitar is extremely versatile and comfortable to play and Joe's comments are proof enough of that.

That doesn't necessarily sound like a 7 string. I mean, unless they're going to do more than just an exact 7 string version of the JS, a 7 wouldn't be 'a radical change'. Or maybe it would. I don't know.

Well, let's put our thinking caps on. What else would Joe play that he hasn't before??? A sitar, a harp? He's never had a 7 string guitar mass produced for him, the ones he has are prototypes, which when he goes on tour he has to haul, and if he had a mass produced 7 string, he could have his people go buy or borrow one wherever he was playing in the world and leave it after he was done.

If nothing else, the JS series is lacking options. I feel sorry for you JS guys.

Re: JS20th

Although I agree you you regarding lack of color options, the guitar itself is incredible IMO.

Yeah, I love the JS. It's light, comfy and it can scream pretty loud.

Re: JS20th

I'd be shocked if we see a 7-string JS. Joe just doesn't use them that much any more, and he's only recorded a handful of seven string songs. He's publically said a few times that he's been moving away from 7's, too.

As a diehard sevenstringer, I'd LOVE to see one, but let's be honest here, it won't happen.

It would be a lame JS20th if they would release a 7 string. Like the JEM 20th the JS20th will probably be something that simply sums up they 20 years of the JS model.
