Re: JS20th
Well I already have a Universe so i hope it ain't a 7string. Don't think there is much scope for owning more than one 7 stringer esp. if it has only 22 frets.
MMmmm what if the new JS has 24 frets?? that would please those that moan about it having only 22frets but use 23rd and 24th fret once per year.

Re: JS20th
Isnt Joe/Ibanez trying to get the rights to make the SWTA graphic from Marvel?
If so, thats probably where it would go, since it was the album that kinda put him into the public eye and probably got him popular enough for the JS series to be brought into existance.
I think it would look hawt and the JS series is long overdue its next graphic.

Re: JS20th
Why are we talking about 7 strings here?!?! It's not gonna happen and it shouldn't. Joe doesn't play them and if they didn't make a
production model
of a 7 string JS they are not going to make an Anniversary one.
Forget about neck through's as well, we would have seen a JS with an AANJ long ago if that were to happen...
I too think that graphics is the way to go due to the tradition of graphic JS's being the most sought after. I just hope it's not another Donnie, but a revamped Forest or Rainbow would be awesome IMHO.

Re: JS20th
Well, according to the video, that's basically what Joe hinted. Maybe Ibanez will do the same thing the did with the Jems, and that would be releasing 2models. One guitar would be the SWTA guitar (aka JS20th), and the other one would be a 7 string JS. Personally, I think that a 7 string JS would compliment the JS line quite well. Whether or not Joe plays them all the time, the need is there for him to have one, as he has used them before. Plus, you really can't predict that one will never use a 7 string. When people like Joe have ideas in his head, they will pull everything they got in the arsenal.
Do you guys honestly think that Ibanez will pass the opportunity to make more money from sales of a 7 stringed guitar that one of its most famous endorsees has? I think Ibanez is going to cash in really nice with the release of 2 new JS guitars for next year.
Jimmy
P.S.: Alwin, I like the art on that JS100 but I'm not crazy about airbrushing. IMO, it lacks the details and sharp lines that a paint job would have. I'm sure that if the same graphics were painted instead, the details would be stunning.

I know Ibane loves money but if a 7-string JS is such a score they probably would have released a production model by now. I doubt they will start with an Anniversary model but hey, I guess anything can happen!

Re: JS20th
How about something in a Gold or Chrome finish that one could actually play without worries of damaging the finish, or some Donnie like graphics. If I am going to pay $$$$ for whatever they come up with, I sure would enjoy playing it as opposed to peeking at it in the case now and then.

Re: JS20th
The only absolute certainy is that the JS20th will NOT feature a Donnie Hunt graphic. Well...that is, of course, unless Ibanez finds a way to bring back the dead specifically for that purpose.
