JS2PRM - Anyone taken the plunge!

Just wondering guys whether anyone has got one yet.

Come on don't be shy!!

I have the option on one here in the UK in November and wondered if they are as beautiful in the flesh.

If anyone has one I hope it's been plugged in!! not just sat in its case - What does it sound like compared to other JS's?

On a different note Steve Vai at Manchester - 2.5 hours of utter brilliance. I have been to many many gigs (I am after all an old git!) including Led Zeppelin and Van Halen at their height and the gig at Manchester ranks right up there.

Yes I heard about that - probably on this site!

But I have seen two from the US on *Bay so I suppose some got through?? I am sure someone from this site has one already although I'm not sure.

It doesn't auger well does it - I mean look at the state of the original Chromeboys drips, dust specks etc!!

Lets hope Ibanez get it right - surely to god they have the resources and technical expertise

The 20 that were rejected are the 19 that shipped. Japan gave them some tips on how to deal with the fogging and it cleared up enough to ship the product [except for the 1 they burnt through trying to buff].

I'm very excited, and can not wait. I spoke with Hoshino yesterday and they didn't give me any date, which is OK with me. There has been a lot of drama around here about it, but it will be on it's way as soon a Hoshino/Chesbro get it.
I am going to play her, but only very lovingly and in my basement I have been asked by several people to write something up about it once it's in my possession. I will post my review here, and will given to some others around the net.

Thumbs up

Re: JS2PRM - Anyone taken the plunge!

So so glad you are going to play her Josh!!

I've posted a few times about 'high' end guitars just being bought to be locked away - they need to be played albeit with loving care!!

I'll keep you posted on the situation here in the UK.

Could be quite a couple of months coming up - Possible JS2PRM November and a baby girl (Flesh and blood not wood!!) arriving boxing day!!!!!!

Congrats on the baby girl. My 18 month old boy is a frickin riot! You'll have a lot of fun. Let me know about the UK situation when you get some info, and I'll let you know about mine when it arrives.

Re: JS2PRM - Anyone taken the plunge!

I was playing my beat up old acoustic last night (soon to be replaced by a Fylde , yummy yummy), and I noticed that the lacquer on the soundboard has what looks like the kind of marks you get on a wooden table when your three year old son draws on a piece of paper with a ballpoint pen, leans really hard on the pen and doesn't have anything between the table and paper.....

hmmm. Was it my wife or my son? hmmm....

Hi Chromeboy56! - nice to see the guitar is being played.

My Ibanez dealer informed me yesterday that delivery has now been put back to February - Doh!!!!!!

I'm just hoping that they are delaying them so that they can get them perfect???

How are you finding the finish on the guitar? Do you have to be very very careful and what are you using to clean it?

Cheers

Mike
