JS90 now mine at last...
I'm very happy with my JS90, plays awesome, the tone, well its somewhere between a JS1000 and Jem7vwh, but I like it! What can I say.. it looks awesome and tone out the butt. Its very responsive to harmonics and picking dynamics, much more than my JS1000BTB was... just what I was looking for... alright I'm back in the JS club again, oh its nice being here.

Well Eddie, wouldn't hold my breath on it, but if I do decide to ever sell, I'll let you know!

BrianH say it isn't so, more than your old (my new) BTB? Just joking I am really happy for you. I just had the opportunity to adjust the BTB to my specs, I lowered the action quite a bit and changed the pu's height and now it screams, thanks.

the 90 is more my tone, more aggressive gritty. nothing wrong at all with a btb, especially the one i had, it was very nice. Just the btb was more sweet sounding, and didn't fit 'my' tone in my head that I wanted to get, but the 90 does this much to my satisfaction. I just got it yesterday, the 90, wasn't sure I'd like it, but I do thus far.

Well at least I know that my JS90 went to a good home where it will be played
I could not be happier with the custom 7 string I got in exchange. VERY intense guitar!!!

At the very least...
both of my 'old' guitars landed in their proper places
Brian enjoy the JS90th...she brought be great playing pleasure when I had her (and made it to one studio album).
Rikk, intense is only the beginning...that baby looks nice..but it's meant to chug better than any UV out there now (as you will learn) the mahogany will give you such a growl you'll have a bowel movement if plugged into a Mesa on 10.
Congrats guys and I'm glad those gitters are in the 'right' hands!!!

Yeah I JUST got done recorded one of the tunes off the new album with it and it DEFINITELY has more tone and growl than the 2 UV777BK's and UV7MC that I have owned. I could not believe it!!!! I just sit and stare at that neck. The amount of time and craftsmanship that went into it is unreal. I have never had a vine of lfe inaly on any of my JEMs look this good. I mean there is no "filler" around the leaves or anything. Its like they had to slip the inlay into the neck with a wedge to get it to fit. My 1993 JEM7VWH has black filler all around the leaves where they made the
neck inlay
bigger than the pieces they put into it. My pyramids on my UV777BK's were the same way. And yeah it looks perty but the tone.......... WOW! Unreal crunch and sustain for DAYS!!!!!!! The only thing I will be doing is putting a
coil split
push/pull knob on her to get some single coil action for clean tones.

Coil tap YES
I thought of doing that to it to match the JS specs before I traded with Brian..but I hadn't gotten around to it. If I still have the push pull pots at my workbench I'll send 'em to ya, no charge.

Hey right on thanks!!!! Yeah that was the ONLY thing I could think of to make this guitar any better. I am not kidding. You really hit the nail on the head with the design of this guitar. Looks to kill and a tone that matches!!!!!!

ok ok.. enough!!! I was very hesitant about letting the 7 go, don't make it worse!!! Course I KNOW my new custom 7 will kick even bigger butt!!!
glad you like the 7 Rikk... its a guitar pictures don't do justice, and you have to hear it before making any final judgements.
